The 1986 Porsche 944 Turbo, also known as the 951, is a front-engined, rear-wheel-drive coupe featuring a turbocharged and intercooled 2.5-liter inline-4 engine producing 220 bhp, propelling the 944 from 0 to 60 in 5.9 seconds, which is good even by modern day standards. This 944 is Finished in Guards Red with black with cream carpets, the interior is in mostly unrestored, original condition with the exception of the front seats which have been swapped for LHD 993 seats which are trimmed in black leather, this all makes for a spectacular looking and performing 80’s sports car. 944 Turbo’s are becoming extremely rare to find in this condition with very few still on the road in the UK. The car drives very well whether it be on main roads or the windier back roads. The interior/paint are showing some minor signs of age/wear which is to be expected, although the car is in overall good condition for a car which is 39 years old.

Cylinder head rebuilt with new valve guides, tracking, carriage for power steering rack replaced, power steering rack refurbished, cam belt & balance belts replaced, any areas of rust removed/welded/painted, battery replaced, brake pad/disks/wear sensors replaced, clean down corroded fuel line and tectyl grease to protect fuel lines, 2021 top end rebuild, engine mounts replaced, drill and replace all worn corroded threads with time serts, air con pump/rads replaced, air con evaporator replaced,
This 944 was delivered new to Dubai where it stayed until the second owner brought it back to the UK. The current owner (third) purchased the car in 2001 and says it is still a joy to drive.

“Since that day in 2001 I have had some great adventures with the car. The breakfast meetings at Goodwood were always fun, but although I had sprinted numerous other cars at the circuit, I decided not to use the turbo like that. I appreciated what it was and was so glad to get back into it after a weekend driving Caterhams and having off-road adventures in buggies and Land Rovers. The joy of comfort, triple speed wipers and a decent heating system made me love it even more. As a long distance tourer, I think it takes some beating”.
