A common issue with 718 and 992

Attention all 718 and 992 owners. We’re not one to scaremonger but recently we’ve had few 718 and 992 come in to us for work and the coil pack bolts are corroded and seized. This leads to them snapping and the only way to get to them to drill them out on some cars is engine removal, crazy right? Time consuming and expensive. 

 

So, here’s what we’re proposing. If you haven’t had new coil packs or spark plugs replaced recently or aren’t sure when they were last renewed we would welcome you to book a slot with us on a Saturday morning to come in so that we can remove them and lubricate them to help with smooth removal down the line. If they are already corroded then we won’t remove them and we can prepare for that at a future service. 

 

This would be a complimentary service as it’s saving us a lot of unplanned work in the future where we’d rather such a simple process went smoothly. 

 

We’ve had 3 instances in the last month all the same, all low mileage cars too.
